Sean James Decker got his start in the industry in 1997 as a horror entertainment journalist, first as a news editor and staff writer at Universal Studios' HorrorOnline, then as a contributing writer to Fangoria magazine, Fangoria.com, FEARnet and Dread Central. In addition to journalism, as a screenwriter and producer he collaborated on the award-winning short film Yummy Meat: A Halloween Carol (season one of the film series Scary Endings) and co-wrote and produced the horror satire L.A. Slasher, as well as serving as a producer and co-writer on the horror feature The Basement (2018). As an author, some of his work can be found in the Amazon best-selling book "My Favorite Horror Movie," in which he penned an essay on the film that started it all for him: John Carpenter's Halloween.
